The fairing slings have been removed.
When the fairing is first attached, it has metal braces to keep the two halves in the correct shape.
Once the halves have been connected, it's strong enough to hold itself in the proper shape. There are
still some holes for access. They will be covered later.
The spacecraft is on its way to
the launch site. The official launch window
starts on June 26. Most of the GSFC launch team will be flying to Kagoshima
this Thursday, for the functional test after the spacecraft arrives.
